About Us

The quality of your legal counsel will have a dramatic impact on the overall outcome of your legal matter. Your lawyer must fully understand your specific needs and develop a strategy that will accomplish your goals, both now and in the long term. At Clark, Werner & Flynn, P.C., our Burlington law firm represents a diverse clientele in a broad range of civil litigation. Our core practice areas include personal injury and insurance lawdivorce & family law, employment law; construction law; and Title IX. Further, we are one of the few law firms in Vermont that have substantial experience bringing claims against the state, municipalities and schools; in handling Title IX cases; and in handling civil rights violations.

Within most of our areas of practice, particularly in our personal injury and employment practices, we represent both plaintiffs and defendants. This comprehensive experience enables us to approach cases differently and more effectively from those whose legal experience in one-sided. We have gained an intuitive understanding of the various issues on each side of a claim and can devise strategies customized to your needs and carry them through to conclusion.

We Measure Our Success By Your Success

Our law firm is results-oriented, not process-oriented. Good legal representation is both tenacious and creative.  Whether a specific case is resolved through a negotiated settlement, litigation, trial or some other means of dispute resolution, our lawyers are concerned only with helping you achieve success. Our lawyers, Catherine Clark, Lisa Werner and Susan Flynn, place a high value on providing efficient, professional and ethical representation to each and every client.

As attorneys, we strive to gain our clients' trust and confidence, cultivating strong relationships and effective communication and achieving optimal outcomes. Our commitment to our clients is reflected in our history of positive outcomes across our many areas of law over decades of practice.
